A BIT ABOUT ME!
Hey!
I’m Steph and I’m a Digital Matte Painter, Concept Artist and Storyboard Artist.
Before moving to the UK, I was born in Zimbabwe, just above South Africa.
I love to indulge in all forms of digital creativity, such as; portraiture, scenic/environments and even story boarding.
By using various software’s that import my paintings into 3D space, it really helps me breathe life into them and express my imagination further.

As a Digital Matte painter, I am always learning from observing the beauty of the world around me. This is to help me be more efficient at building worlds based from it, and constructing something that is simultaneously believable and also visually delightful.

Heroic Vista

My first Compositing challenge was to transport footage of myself into one of my own a Digital Matte Paintings!
I decided to take on an exciting role as Lara Croft - putting my cosplay and acting abilities to the test!
It was fun to be in front of the camera for a change.
Concept Art - "Once One" Production
July 2018
My concept work for "Once One". A magical surge of energy that builds up throughout the arms of an individual. It was interesting to research how the veins wind around the arm and various bones. I learnt lot about sub-surface scattering and how light would be theoretically projected from beneath skin, bone and hair.

After previously meeting a team of creatives in London, I was fortunate to have been chosen by a filmmaker connection at Ealing Studios.
The writer assigned me the task to design and create her productions promotional poster, which they continue to use today as her filming of "Once One" continues. I was also the designer for their main titles. After the poster was completed, I managed to provide them with more support with some concept design. I also assisted in some post-production work; mainly 2D cleanup and tracking.
Concept Art - Sailboat
September 2018
A friend of mine asked me to create a concept painting for him to aid his final exhibition piece at University. He requested I paint a Viper Sailboat sitting among calm and blue water.
A matte painting I completed to assist in the awareness of Hainan's endangered primate; The Hainan Gibbon.
The city itself is a tourist attraction but I sought to clear it's streets and visualize it with a sense of abandonment - as If there had been an apocalypse of mankind.
